Looking for some stunning photos to level-up your website or marketing? You’re in the right place my friend.

Photography is a fundamental element of design that either works for good or works for EVIL! Just kidding!….(Sort of…?)

Great photos can help your brand look more credible, add fuel to your marketing campaigns, and most importantly, help your customers feel more connected to your brand. So, today we’re talking about the ten websites we use to find amazing stock photography for our clients.

And, if you’re wondering:

Are they really free? What am I responsible for?

Many of these sites feature photography that is totally free from copyright restrictions or are licensed under the creative commons public domain dedication. In some cases you may have to give attribution but that’s not as common, and the website you choose will let you know what actions to take - if any.

So, let’s do this!

  1. Unsplash

We love Unsplash for it’s filtering options! Our favorite is being able to choose whether you want vertical or horizontal images, along with the primary color so it makes it super easy to find other photography to match existing brand photos or create a cohesive brand color story. They have a huge vault of great photography, and the filtering options make it super easy to find photos to match your brand.

  2. Pexels

The variety on Pexels is awesome, and I really appreciate the discover feature. When you need a little inspiration, click the discover tab, and ideas will start flowing.

  3. Foodiesfeed.com

Foodies Feed offers beautiful, realistic free food pictures in high resolution, perfect for food-bloggers!

  4. Burst *by Shopify

The best feature here is that they serve up image PACKS! Meaning, a group of images that are from the same photoshoot. They also offer several, incredibly useful freebies to help you grow your business.

  5. Pixabay

Pixabay makes it super easy to find vectors, illustrations, videos and music in one place. You can still find these on some of the other sites above and below, but you’ll have a few more clicks in your future.

  6. Reshot

The thing we love about Reshot is that there seem to be a lot more natural looking photos of people, and we don’t see these images on every site, so it’s a little easier to find something unique. They also offer image packs. Ahhhh, we love packs. <3

  7. Gratisography

First of all, Gratisography is beautiful to look at the moment you open it! Super bold, super fun. The whimsical photography is a rabbit hole of fun and wonder with unique shots. Check out their manifesto and you’ll immediately notice these folks are doing something different.

  8. Life Of Pix

A gorgeous photography resource created by the LEEROY creative agency. All high-resolution photos with no copyright restrictions.

  9. IsoRepublic

New photos released daily! They offer a broad range of high-resolution photos and all are free under the CCO license.

  10. PicJumbo

PicJumbo has been around for a very long time, and has a lot of great stock photography to offer. They display a ton of tags that you can click on to view even more select photos easily.
